What are Automatic Sliding Doors?
Automatic sliding doors combine comfort, hygiene and energy efficiency at entrances with heavy pedestrian traffic. A microwave radar above the door detects approaching people, while active infrared safety sensors scan the leaf movement area and prevent the door from touching anyone passing through.
A brushless DC motor and microprocessor control unit move the leaves at adjustable speed with soft start and stop. A programme selector offers operating modes such as automatic, one-way, permanently open, locked and winter mode (partial opening). Winter mode narrows the opening width to reduce heat loss.
During a power cut, a battery module keeps the door running or moves it to the open position. Break-out leaves are fitted at entrances on escape routes, and airtight hermetic doors are used in hospitals and cleanrooms.
