Sliding and Automatic Garden Gates

A sliding gate is an automatic perimeter gate whose leaf moves horizontally along the wall under motor drive to open and close the entrance. It is made to measure in tracked or trackless (cantilever) versions in galvanised steel, aluminium or wrought iron, and controlled by remote, photocell and smartphone.

What are Sliding and Garden Gates?

Garden gates are both the first line of security and the first impression of a property. Sliding gates need no swing space in front of the leaf, making them the most practical solution for sloping sites, narrow entrances and residential complex entrances with heavy vehicle traffic.

On tracked sliding gates, the leaf runs on a ground track. On cantilever (trackless) gates, the leaf is carried on support rollers outside the opening; with no track on the ground, it is unaffected by snow, ice and sand and is preferred for wide openings. Swing gates complement classic architecture.

The motor is selected according to gate weight and daily cycle count. Safety in use to EN 12453 is achieved with photocells, safety edges, soft start and stop and obstacle detection. Integration with remote controls, GSM and smartphones, video intercoms and number plate recognition is available.

Where are Sliding and Garden Gates used?

Sliding and Garden Gates are used in 6 different applications, including villas and detached houses, residential complex entrances, factories and industrial zones, logistics centres, schools and public buildings, hotels and resorts. On every project, opening size, frequency of use and security requirements are assessed on site during the survey; the system is then made to measure and installed by our own crews.

Villas and detached houses
Decorative garden gates that suit the architecture.
Residential complex entrances
Safe, fast automatic access under heavy vehicle traffic.
Factories and industrial zones
Wide, heavy-duty entrances with cantilever gates.
Logistics centres
Wide openings for HGV and lorry access.
Schools and public buildings
Perimeter security and controlled entry.
Hotels and resorts
Prestigious entrances with access control.

How to choose the right sliding and garden gates

A poorly chosen system means early failures, high energy costs or security gaps. Choosing the right sliding and garden gates depends on opening size, daily frequency of use, security and insulation requirements, motor and automation type, and budget. Consider the points below when deciding; we finalise them together during the site survey.

  1. 1

    Site and ground

Sliding gates for sloping sites, cantilever gates where a ground track is not wanted.

  2. 2

    Opening width

Cantilever gates with powerful motors are recommended for openings over 8 m.

  3. 3

    Wall length

If the wall for the leaf to slide along is short, choose a telescopic or swing gate.

  4. 4

    Usage intensity

Residential complexes and factories need high-cycle industrial motors.

How we work: from site survey to service

The process has four steps: free site survey, design and quotation, manufacturing and installation, and service. We send a price quote within 1 hour on average after your survey request. The approved system is made to measure at our facility in Tuzla, Istanbul, installed and commissioned by our own crews, and supported by scheduled maintenance and a 24/7 breakdown line.

  1. Site survey

Measurements are taken on site; usage intensity, electrical infrastructure and floor conditions are recorded.

  2. Design and quotation

Series, motor and accessories are selected; the quote is itemised and includes installation.

  3. Manufacturing and installation

Made to measure at our Tuzla facility and installed by our own installation crews.

Sliding and Garden Gates: frequently asked questions

If your question is not answered here, ask us by phone or on WhatsApp.

What is a sliding garden gate?

A sliding garden gate is an automatic perimeter gate whose leaf moves horizontally along the wall under motor drive to open and close the entrance. It is produced with galvanised steel or aluminium leaves in tracked or cantilever (trackless) versions. With remote control, photocells, battery-backed motors and smartphone opening, it is installed made to measure at residential complex, villa and factory entrances.

What is the difference between tracked and cantilever gates?

On a tracked gate, the leaf runs on a ground track. On a cantilever gate, the leaf is carried on support rollers outside the opening; with no ground track, it is unaffected by snow, ice and sand. The tracked system is more economical, while the cantilever system is preferred for uneven ground or heavy-duty entrances and requires extra wall length beside the leaf.

How do you choose a gate motor?

A gate motor is selected according to the leaf weight, opening width, gate type and daily cycle count. Motor capacities range from 400 kg to 2500 kg. For heavy use such as residential complex entrances, industrial-grade motors with battery modules are preferred, while standard motors are sufficient for villas and detached houses.

Can an automatic gate be opened from a smartphone?

Yes, an automatic garden gate can be opened and closed from a smartphone via a GSM or Wi-Fi module. An authorised user list is defined and gate status notifications are received. The system works together with video intercoms, number plate recognition cameras, remote controls and keypads, providing shared management at residential complex and villa entrances.

How do you open a garden gate during a power cut?

With battery-backed motors, the garden gate keeps working during a power cut; the battery provides a set number of open-close cycles depending on its capacity. Without a battery, the key-operated release on the motor is unlocked to disengage the gear and the leaf is slid by hand. When power returns, the release is locked again and the gate returns to automatic operation.
